Jan 5, 2004. (Cape Canaveral, Florida)-- Communications Concepts, Inc. has again been honored for creativity and leadership in the audio-visual industry. CCI is the proud recipient of three Crystal Reel Awards from the Florida Motion Picture and Television Association.

CCI was honored with the awards at the 15th Annual Crystal Reel Awards Ceremony in Tampa. CCI took home awards in three categories.

CCI won a Crystal Reel Award for anchor in a live news broadcast for CCI's production of the Atlas V Inaugural Launch Broadcast. CCI hired Jennifer Hodges to host the launch broadcast CCI produced for Lockheed Martin/International Launch Services. CCI's second Crystal Reel was awarded in the marketing infomercial category for a corporate marketing piece titled "Scheduled Assurance" also developed for International Launch Services that highlighted ILS's reliability in the launch services industry. CCI won a third award in the educational program category for an Interactive CD-ROM developed for Port Canaveral. The CD titled, "Maritime Opportunities," features employment opportunities at Port Canaveral and was distributed to high school students to educate them about future career options.

Assistant Director for Economic Development and Manager of Foreign Trade Zone 136 for Port Canaveral, Susan Cossey, said, "Port Canaveral is very pleased, once again, to be the recipient of an award for our cooperative efforts with CCI in the production of the interactive CD-ROM titled 'Maritime Opportunities' at Port Canaveral. Being honored in this way by a state-wide organization exemplifies the Port's and CCI's goals in producing a product the children and teachers in the Brevard County School System can be proud of."

This year marks the fifth consecutive year that CCI has received Crystal Reel honors from FMPTA. Since 1973, FMPTA has grown from a handful of Florida filmmakers to an organization with members in ten chapters statewide. FMPTA is a not-for-profit organization comprised of volunteer members from Florida's production industry. The primary objective of FMPTA is to encourage and facilitate increased film, video and sound recording production within Florida, as it is made up of persons involved in all areas of the production industry.
