CCI offers New Wireless Video Link
June 12, 2000. CAPE CANAVERAL, FL, June 12, 2000 ---
Communications Concepts, Inc. (CCI), an audio visual communications company, with headquarters in Cape Canaveral announced today that they have acquired two (2) Trango Falcon 5.8-Gigahertz Wireless Video Link. The new Wireless Video Link units will be available for rental on a daily and weekly basis.
This system is a full bandwidth color video link with one channel of video and one channel of audio. It is FCC approved and does not require a license to operate. The manufacturer states that the unit has a range outside of 7 miles line of sight or over 7,000 feet in typical indoor environments.
"We have already used the system outside for transmission over a mile and got excellent results," said Mark Speer, CCI Engineer, "the receiver is a phase lock loop design for rock solid performance."
The transmitter and receiver offer 15 user selectable channels and both units memorize the last channel used, so in the event of a power failure, the units return to the same channel of operation when the power is restored. The Falcon system offers dual alarm inputs and standby mode that make it ideal for remote video links with automatic recording. The transmitter utilizes a rod antenna and the receiver uses a 36" parabolic dish antenna. The system operates on 120 volts AC or 12 volts DC.
CCI is an audio visual communications company, with headquarters in Cape Canaveral and is one of the few productions companies to offer all services in-house. Its list of clients include: broadcasters, such as WBNS, NBC, ABC and CBC; cable networks, such as CNN and Sunshine; Fortune 500 firms, such as Lockheed Martin, Boeing, and Harris Corporation and government agencies, such as the EPA, the U.S. Navy; as well as the international governments of Indonesia, Saudi Arabia, and Mexico.
