Communications Concepts, Inc. continues growth, announces hiring of four new employees

Apr 25, 2006. Communications Concepts, Inc. (CCI), of Cape Canaveral, continued enhancing and increasing its staff by announcing the hiring of four new employees for its Cape Canaveral headquarters and its newest facility, CCI HD Orlando. The new employees and their positions are as follows: Jason Berry, editor, Cape Canaveral; James Edwards, A/V rentals associate, Cape Canaveral; Adam Hendershot, lead editor, CCI HD Orlando; and Michelle Moretti, administrative assistant, CCI HD Orlando.

According to CCI vice president and general manager, Jim Lewis, "We've had a bit of a hiring frenzy of late to keep up with the demand of two offices and the growing workload. The expansion shows the growth we've seen so far this year, but more importantly we've been able to staff some very talented people in key positions."

CCI began its hiring with Jason Berry, a production veteran who has previously worked in a freelance capacity as a camera operator and floor director on numerous CCI shoots, including rocket launch broadcasts and sporting events. In addition to his expertise behind the lens, Jason is also an accomplished video editor; he will work in both capacities at CCI's Cape Canaveral office. Prior to joining CCI, Berry worked freelance for local NBC and CBS affiliates, Nickelodeon, the Sunshine Sports Network, and on various commercial shoots.

James Edwards, currently studying engineering and information technology at Brevard County Community College, will serve as the new rentals associate in the CCI rentals department at the CCI Cape Canaveral office. In addition to his primary role, James will lend his experience in network maintenance and engineering in various production roles. Prior to joining CCI, Edwards worked as a test engineer for the engineering firm Soneticom, Inc.

At CCI HD Orlando, CCI's new high definition post production facility, the expansion continued with the hiring of Adam Hendershot and Michelle Moretti. Hendershot, who has worked as a freelance camera operator for CCI in the past, will be the lead editor at CCI HD Orlando. Previously, Adam worked as a colorist for Continental Film Lab, Inc. He studied film and video at Florida Metropolitan University.

Michelle Moretti, a recent import from Los Angeles, was working for the Showtime Network and pursuing a career in acting when she left LA to join CCI HD Orlando. Michelle brings unparalleled expertise in providing excellent service to high level executives and clientele to CCI HD Orlando.

"The heavy workload for Skating's Next Star for the WE network really pushed us to make the acquisitions sooner rather than later," explained Dana Stites, managing director, CCI HD Orlando. "We thought we would have some time to get our feet wet, but we had to hit the ground running with that show; now, with other projects lined up and waiting, we feel we were extremely lucky to get talent of this caliber."

"Our new folks are young and excited to be working in the business, and we're excited to have them. With the influx of new equipment acquisitions, it's been extremely beneficial to have young talent around with the experience to understand and operate some of the newer technologies. I've always said that you've got to keep growing to survive in this business, and CCI is currently growing in leaps and bounds."
